Uttar Pradesh government has decided to construct 10 Lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state by the year 2019. Yogi Adityanath government has set the target to provide homes to 10 Lakh homeless under the central government’s flagship scheme. The chief minister distributed allotment letters to 568 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on 10th July.
The new government has decided to provide homes to 10 Lakh families across the state by the year 2019 and homes to 57000 homeless families in Gorakhpur division within this year.
The state government of Uttar Pradesh has also scrapped Lohia Awas Scheme in Agra and is now providing 2180 houses in 15 blocks of the district under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The eligible beneficiaries would be provided a financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh in three installments of Rs. 40,000, Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 10,000.
The previous SP government invited online applications for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for assessment of candidates and selection of beneficiaries for PMAY benefits.
Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad is also inviting applications for allotment of flats under PMAY on first come first serve basis. UPAVP is offering more than 1200 flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Agra and Ghaziabad. The flats are being offered under the CLSS component of PMAY.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana online application forms can be filled online through official website at pmaymis.gov.in. Those who have applied through pmaymis.gov.in need not to apply separately under the demand surveys being conducted by the state governments.
