Launched in 2015, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is an affordable housing scheme under which the central government aims to provide housing for all by the year 2022. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, central government is providing financial assistance to the beneficiaries and subsidy on home loan interest up to 4% taken for a tenure of up to 20 years.
